The British Academy for Training and Development offers the DevOps and Agile Integration Course. This course will deliver key principles of DevOps and Agile integration concepts with emphasis on seamless collaboration among development and IT operations teams. It will enable attendees to explore agile practices, DevOps tools, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines that will allow them to improve software development efficiency and product quality. The course covers automation, version control systems, and configuration management which help the learner to streamline workflows.
The course consists of practical sessions that teach Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerisation with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes. The course also teaches on topics such as monitoring and logging, DevOps culture and collaboration, and agile project management techniques such as Scrum and Kanban.
As a result of this course, attendees will now be competent in DevOps pipelines, as well as agile sprints, alongside modern tool applications such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible to drive agile transformation in their houses.
By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:
Understand the foundational principles of DevOps and the Agile methodology.
Set up CI/CD pipelines for software delivery automation.
Adopt modern automation tools with which to eliminate repetitive manual labor.
Establish infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, paving the way for standardised environments.
Keep application logging and performance monitoring tools.
Build bridges between development and operations teams.
Deliver higher quality software faster and easier.
Who should attend?
This course is ideal for:
Software developers and IT operations engineers
DevOps engineers and system administrators
Agile project managers
Quality assurance (QA) professionals
Technical architects and IT team leads
Those that work along the software delivery and infrastructure automation lines.
How Attendees Will Benefit?
In this course, attendees will gain many benefits:
Learn In-Demand Skills: Attendees will learn practical skills widely sought by today's technology-driven job market in DevOps tools, agile workflows, and automation.
Faster Delivery, Higher Quality: By applying the understanding of CI/CD pipelines, attendees will learn how to be faster in delivering software without compromising quality and security.
Agile Adaptation: This course will enhance the capacity of attendees to work within Agile contexts and to manage and deliver projects aptly applying Scrum, Kanban, and agile sprints.
Improve Team Collaboration: Having a clear understanding of the DevOps culture will enable better communication and collaboration among the development, QA, and operations teams.
Hands-On Experience with Latest Tools: Attendees will have hands-on experience on industry-standard tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Increased Delivery Speed, Quality: Attendees will understand how to be faster at delivering software but not at a sacrifice of standards of quality and security through the application of CI/CD pipeline concepts.
Real-Life Application: This final project and the discussion of various use cases will empower attendees to apply the lessons they have learned to similar business situations, thus ensuring these learnings become instantly applicable within their existing roles.
